When a computer encounter a problem it can be difficult to diagnose and correct the issue because they are such complex machines running complicated pieces of software. So it will be helpful to us if we are taught how to maintain and protect computers and the basic concepts of computer troubleshooting and repair. Thus, we will be better prepared to understand and resolve issues when they arise. Moreover, the issues that we will encounter can be resolved without involving a technician or seeking outside help. So it is recommended to teach some repair and troubleshooting techniques in the upcoming lessons.

The topic I liked most in the Computer Applications (CPT101)

The topic I liked most in the CPT101 is Adobe Photoshop. This program is great for photo work. I have learnt a lot like, cutting out a background, putting someone’s head on another’s body. It is also best to use for tweaking, adjusting and cropping photos. Moreover, learning this program will help me to create all the graphics, logos and website designs I would ever need. However, I feel that I need more training and talent to learn and use Adobe Photoshop properly.

My Experience as a Block Mode Student

I chose to complete Bachelor of Dhivehi Language through block mode education because of the opportunity to work or do what I do best while studying. The said opportunity includes quality time with my family. The beauty of block mode education is that knowledge acquired from my studies is put to use immediately. The particular challenge with this way is that, I have to strike a balance between my social and economic commitments on one hand and my academic goals on the other. However, The Faculty of Arts of The Maldives National University is a very supportive environment and the lecturers are more than willing to help in any way they can.
